The Lady Raider Soccer Team won their seventh straight game over the Lady Patriots in Flowood on Thursday night in thrilling fashion. The two teams played to a scoreless draw before a lengthy lightning delay which lasted around an hour. JA got on the board first as Alayla Jackson found the back of the net in the 24th minute and the Lady Raiders carried that lead into the halftime break. The lead was short-lived as Prep came out and scored the equalizing goal three minutes into second half action. Regulation and both overtime periods saw no goals so the two teams went into Penalty Kicks.
JA had successful winning kicks from Alayla Jackson, Addison Comer, Gabby Healy and Londyn Dorsey. The big story was freshman Goal Keeper Addi Roberts who stopped 2 of the 5 shots she faced in the Penalty Kick Shootout, including the last one to preserve the victory. The Lady Raiders will travel to Greenwood next Monday to take on Pillow Academy, and Hattiesburg on Thursday to take on PCS, during the final week of the regular season.

The 7th Grade Football team rattled off their second straight win as they beat Leake Academy 28-8 to move to 2-0-1 on the season. The JV squad, which had their 10 game win streak snapped last week, returned to form with a 41-14 victory over the Rebels. Next Thursday JA will return home to The Brickyard for a two-game homestead as they Presbyterian Christian and Parklane Academy.

The Lady Raider Softball team won their fourth game of the season as they took down Park Place Christian Academy 4-3. Game 2 was rained out. Their final game of the season will be on the road as they make up a previously rained-out contest against MRA on Monday. The two team swill play a single 7-inning game starting at 6:00pm.

Lady Raider Volleyball spent the evening in South Jackson as they swept all three matches over Hillcrest Christian. Middle School improved their record to 15-3, with their third straight win. The JV squad recovered from their first two game losing skid with a two set victory and moved to 17-2. The next action will be in Ridgeland for the Varsity Lady Raiders on Thursday as JA travels to face Hillcrest Christian School.
