Raider Top Performers

Here are the top performers for last week from JA Athletics (08.19 - 08.25.19)

Varsity Football:
Parker Ryan (Junior) carried the ball 22 times for 87 yards and a TD, and had 3 catches for 42 yards in a season opening loss to Pillow Academy 26-21.
Andrew Holmes (Junior) in his first start at QB went 8-for-15 for 158 yards and a TD in the first game of the season including a TD pass on his first varsity pass.
William Janous (Senior) had 2 catches for 75 yards and a TD.
Caleb Hernandez (Junior) registered a game high 15 tackles (7 solo, 3 TFL) and also had an interception.
Brendan Gibson tallied a game high 12 solo tackles and finished with 14 total tackles with two TFL.
Chase Rush (Senior) was the third defensive Raider to tally double digits in tackles as he logged 7 solo tackles and 10 total tackles along with a TFL.
Tae Stewart (Senior) had 6 tackles (5 solo) and a pass break up, along with two interceptions on defense.
Ja'Ree Myers (Senior) had 5 tackles on defense and a 73 yard kickoff return for a TD.

Soccer:
Reeves Stratton (Senior) scored two goals and added an assist in a pair of wins over Presbyterian Christian (6-0) and Parklane Academy (11-0).
Alayla Jackson (Senior) scored a goal and added three assists in the Lady Raiders two victories last week over PCS and Parklane.
Kennedy Nations (Senior) netted a goal and an assist last week for the Lady Raiders in a perfect week of action.
Kendall Ross (Freshman) tallied a hat trick in a dominant win over Parklane Academy 11-0.

Volleyball:
Anna Katherine Ray (Senior) had 2 Aces, 25 Kills, 1 Block and 12 Digs in a perfect week of action for the Lady Raiders (2-0).
Natalie DeRusso (Junior) tallied 6 Aces, 4 Kills, 4 Blocks, 77 Assits and 7 Digs as the Lady Raider Volleyball Team swept the third week of the season.
Parker Bracken (Junior) logged 8 Aces, 38 Kills, 1 Block and 25 Digs as JA wonboth matches they played last week against PCS and Madison Central.
Anna Claire Sheffield (Sophomore) tallied 13 Kills and 8 Blocks as the Lady Raider Volleyball Team beat PCS and Madison Central.
