The Varsity Lady Raider Soccer Team continued their recent dominance over the Jackson Prep Lady Patriots with a 2-1 victory at The Brickyard on Thursday night. JA got on the board in the first half in the 24th minute as Alayla Jackson took the ball away from the Prep defense on the right side, turned and fired form 19 yards out over the keeper?s head. After halftime the Lady Patriots scored the equalizing goal on a deflected ball inside the box just before the water break. The Lady Raiders got the lead back for good in the 65 minute as Alayla Jackson scored on a free kick from 25 yards out. The Lady Raiders won their sixth straight game over Jackson Prep on the pitch. The next match for JA Soccer is next Tuesday, September 10th as they travel to Parklane Academy. It will be Varsity action only starting at 5:00pm.

The JV Football season continued in Amite, LA and it went well as the Raiders pitched their first shutout of the season as they knocked off Oak Forest Academy 34-0. That now makes 10 straight wins for the JV Raiders. Next week the Raiders host Madison-Ridgeland Academy for their third game of the season at The Brickyard.

The Lady Raider Volleyball Teams traveled to Vancleave MS and split the two games that were played. The JV squad won their match 2-0 and ran their season record to a perfect 9-0. The Varsity Lady Raiders were without one of their senior starters and fell to the Lady Bulldogs 3-0 for just their second loss of the season. The next action is in Mendenhall on Tuesday as JA travels to face Simpson Academy. Middle School action will start at 4:30pm, JV at 5:30pm and Varsity at 6:30pm.

The Lady Raider Softball team traveled to Jackson Prep for a single 7-inning affair against the Lady Patriots and fell short 8-3. Their next action is Monday as they travel to MRA at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.
