Jackson Academy Lady Raider Soccer overcame a pair of regular season losses to MRA to pull off a 3-2 Division 1 Semifinal victory in Madison to advance to the Championship Game in Flowood on Saturday morning. After falling behind 1-0 early, the Lady Raiders tied the game early as Addison Comer collected a give-and-go with Alayla Jackson to find the back of the net. In the first minute of the second half, the Lady Raiders wasted no time as Alayla Jackson found a streaking Gabby Healy to give JA their first lead of the game 2-1 on her 14th goal of the season. Ten minutes later the Lady Raiders failed to clear the ball out of their goal box and the Lady Patriots tied the game up 2-2. Then with just over 16 minutes left in regulation, Reeves Stratton collected a brilliant touch pass from Gabby Healy and sent it home for a lead they would not relinquish. Again this Saturday, the Lady Raiders will get a chance at their fourth consecutive title as they travel to face the winner of Prep vs PCS in the Division 1 Championship at 11:00am.
