JV Falls while Varsity Soars


The Raiders came back from the Thanksgiving Break and played host to Cathedral School as they met for the first time in school history at The Raider Dome on Monday Night. The JV Raiders overcame an early 10 point deficit with an 11-0 run to take a 21-20 lead at the half. The game then shifted into back and forth action and featured a number of lead changes until JA lead 45-35 with 4 minutes left in the game. The Green Wave fought back to tie the game at 49-49 until a late technical foul gave Cathedral a 50-49 advantage. The JV Raiders were unable to get the game winning basket despite multiple opportunities in the last 45 seconds as they dropped their first decision to fall to 6-1. They will return to action on Friday as they host St. Jospeh at 4:30pm.

The Varsity Raiders played one of their most complete halves of basketball as they dropped 50 on Cathedral in the first 16 minutes of action. The Raiders shot 60% (21-35) from the floor including 50% (6-12) from the 3pt line. The Raiders pushed their record up to 5-4 with their second straight win.
