Lady Raiders Win In Memphis
The Varsity Lady Raiders Basketball Team began play in the annual Harding Academy More Than Christmas Basketball Tournament in Memphis, TN as they battled the Memphis Area Home School Education Association (MHEA) in First Round Action. The winner of the First Round is guaranteed a spot in the Winner's bracket and a potential spot in the Championship Game on Saturday night at 6:00pm in the Ellers Gymnasium.
The Lady Raiders got off to a slow start as they trailed 11-3 with just over a minute left in the first quarter. Over the next 11:18 of game action JA went on a 17-6 run that saw them turn that deficit into a 20-17 advantage. The Lady Eagles took back the lead early in the fourth quarter before JA finished the game on a 5-1 run to win their second straight game and move into the Winner's bracket as they moved to 12-2. Tomorrow the Lady Raiders will take on the host Harding Academy Lady Lions in Semifinal action at 6:00pm.
