The Varsity Lady Raiders continued play in the annual Harding Academy More Than Christmas Basketball Tournament in Memphis, TN as they battled the host, Harding Academy in Semifinal Action with a spot in the Championship Game on Saturday night on the line.

The Lady Raiders trailed 10-1 halfway into the first quarter but managed to close the gap to 5 by the end of the first quarter. JA continued to chip away at the lead and cut it to 17-15 at halftime. The Lady Raiders took their first lead in the game at 26-25 with 6:55 remaining in the game. But the Lady Lions put together a 12-5 run to claim back the lead and pull away from JA in the final minutes to claim a 37-34 victory and stay perfect at 8-0. With the loss the Lady Raiders dropped to 13-3 and will take on Briarcrest Christian School in the 3rd/4th Place game at 3:00pm.

Natalie Thompson - the junior was on fire as she dropped a career-high 20 points (7-16 FG, 3-10 3PT, 3-3 FT), grabbed 3 rebounds, and had 4 steals along with 1 block off the bench.
