The Raiders concluded their stay in the Harding Academy More Than Basketball Christmas Tournament in Memphis, TN by taking on Memphis Area Home School Education Association in the 3rd/4th Place Game. The Raiders came out the gates red hot as they took a 19-0 lead and led 24-7 after the first quarter.The Eagles shot themselves right back in the game with the three ball as they went on a 13-0 to help close the gap at halftime to just 5.

Each team had a 6-0 run in the third quarter which allowed JA to push their lead out to ten at 49-39 but MHEA battled back again with a 17-6 run to take their first lead of the game 56-55 with just over 3 minutes to play in the game. Regulation play wasn?t enough to decide this one as the Raiders headed to overtime and scored first on two free throws. That was all the scoring the Raiders would muster though as the Eagles made two baskets in the last two minutes to win it 66-64. The Raiders finished the More Than Tournament with a 1-2 record and a 4th Place finish. They will have the rest of the Christmas break off from hoops and will resume play on Saturday, January 4th at The Raider Dome as they host East Rankin Academy at 4:00pm.
