Lady Raiders Drop 70+

Bench Plays Large Role In Win

The Varsity Lady Raiders looked to remain perfect in 2020 as they traveled to face The MS School for The Deaf just three miles away from The Raider Dome. The starters played less than 12 minutes each in the game as the bench for JA combined for over 40 of the 73 points the Lady Raiders scored in the game.

The game started rather sloppily as the Lady Bulldogs held a 3-2 lead with 3:30 remaining in the first quarter. The Lady Raiders used a 31-3 run to help aid their 37-9 lead at halftime and never looked back.

The second half was all Lady Raiders as they outscored MSD 38-23 to win going away 73-34 to improve to 16-5 overall. For the second straight game, thirteen different Lady Raiders scored as Demi Williamson led the team with an impressive 13 points and 5 rebounds. The Lady Raiders will continue their busy week as they travel to Copiah Academy (conference play opener) on Thursday and Heritage Academy on Saturday.

University Heart Player with The Most Heart
