Raiders Beat Bobcats

JV & Varsity Win Streaks at 4


The Raiders continued with conference play by returning to the Raider Dome on Tuesday night to host Presbyterian Christian School. The JV Raiders started off the game on a 9-1 run before the Bobcats closed the lead to 5 after the first quarter. Over the next quarter plus JA turned a five point game into a 31-17 advantage in the third quarter and never looked back as they topped the Bobcats 56-34 to improve to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Raiders were led in scoring by Thomas Antici (16 points) and Merritt Nations (12 points)

The Raiders got off to a slow start in the first quarter as they found themselves trailing 10-6 after 8 minutes of action. The Raiders looked to Wenton Walker in the second quarter as he helped turn a six point deficit into a three point halftime lead with 10 second quarter points.

After being held scoreless in the first half, Henry Lee dropped seven in the third quarter and six more in the fourth to help keep the lead for JA as they managed a 62-55 victory over the Bobcats to move their overall mark to 15-6 and their conference record to 2-0.

Henry Lee - the senior scored 13 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), grabbed 2 rebounds, had 4 assists and 1 steal and played every minute of the game.
