The games were originally scheduled fro Tuesday but with rain in the forecast the two teams agreed to move the games to Monday. The JV Raiders took the field last and waited until the final two innings to get their offense started as they scored one in the third and then tacked on three more runs in the fourth to secure a second straight win over Lamar School and a second straight shutout victory as well. With the 4-0 victory the JV Raiders improved to 2-1 on the young season.
The Varsity Raiders took the field first in anticipation of rain in the forecast and Branson Tadlock got his first start as a Raider. JA responded at the plate in the bottom of the first and second as they batted around both time scoring seven runs on five hits to take a 7-3 lead after two innings. The next two frames were scoreless for both offenses as the pitching settled in. JA got a solid relief outing from Russell Hawkins and Andrew Holmes as they combined to toss four scoreless innings/ The Raider bats were solid in the last two frames as they tacked on five more runs to secure a 12-3 victory as they moved to 2-1 on the season. Land Gebhart was 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs, while Parker Ryan also picked up three hits including his first triple of the season. Tadlock also had a multi-hit game.
