JA Denied Trip to MS College
After getting knocked into the Consolation Game the Raiders could have The JA Raiders faced the PCS Bobcats in the 5A State Basketball Tournament in McComb at Parklane Academy on Saturday night. The Raiders and Bobcats played an entertaining first quarter that featured four offensive runs as JA started the game with a 5-0 run that PCS answered to tie the game 5-5. JA then scored six straight as PCS responded with 8 straight to end the quarter leading 13-11. The Bobcats led by as many as ten in the second quarter before JA trimmed it to six at halftime. Then after halftime the Raiders went on a 16-4 run to lead 39-34 before the Bobcats closed it to four at the end of three. PCS started the fourth with eight straight to give them a lead they would not relinquish even though the Raiders battled back to within two late in the game before PCS decided the final margin at 56-52. The Raider season ended at 21-14.
