The start of the MAIS Overall Tournament had the Lady Raiders playing early against Centreville Academy on Monday and sometimes that can lend itself to a slow start. For JA it was the complete opposite as they had a pair of 8-0 runs to help stake the Lady Raiders to an insurmountable 20-3 first quarter lead. Centreville had a better offensive quarter in the second but JA managed to push the lead to twenty-one at the break.

At the start of the second half, Emily Thompson and Nae Nae Ellis combined for 13 of the 15 JA scored moving the advantage to twenty-nine after three quarters. The final quarter saw everyone that had not seen playing time get on the floor as 11 of the 15 Lady Raiders scored to help give them a 58-25 First Round victory. With the win they advance to Quarterfinal Wednesday where they will take on Pillow Academy at 12:30pm.
