The JA Cross Country Teams opened up their 2020 Season by hosting the JA Invitational at Neely Farms in Magee, MS. The Varsity Boys finished in 2nd Place among the eight teams and had four different runners in the top 15. Clayton Mahaffey finished in 2nd Place Overall with a time of 19:56.73, Emery Thigpen finished right behind him in 3rd Place with a time of 20:06.44. The two other Raiders that finished in the top 15 were Rett Stanley 20.54.78 and Law Stanley - 21:36.82. The Varsity Girls did not place.

The JV Boys finished in 1st Place among the six teams with four finishing in the Top 10. John Travelstead was the highest finisher for JA as he finished 2nd Overall with a time of 13:40.26. The JV Girls finished in 2nd Place among the eight teams entered and had two in the top 20. Macy Garrard was the highest finisher with a time of 16:15.03.They will all travel to Flowood next week for the Jackson Prep Invitational.

The Lady Raider Softball team played a JV and Varsity contest against Copiah Academy last night dropping both games (JV-10-0, V-15-0). The Lady Raiders will get right back to work on Tuesday as they host PCS at 4pm (V) and 5:30pm (JV) at Raider Park.
