The Lady Raider Softball Teams celebrated their lone senior, Natalie Thompson, on Monday night as they battled Jackson Prep Lady Patriots in conference play and their regular season finale at Raider Park. The Lady Patriots jumped out to a 6-0 lead quickly and never looked back as the Lady Raiders dropped the contest and will participate in the State Tournament on Saturday. Coach Parvin on Natalie returning for her senior season, ? It has been a pleasure to have Natalie back for her senior year. Her presence on the field has brought a sense of security to our young team. I can?t thank her enough for what she has done for the program and wish her the best.? The JV Lady Raiders also came up short against Prep in an 8-0 loss which brings their season to an end.

The Cross Country Teams took part in the Simpson Academy Invitational on Monday and the Varsity Boys finished at the top. In fact, the top two runners were both Raiders as Clayton Mahaffey ran a 17:25 5K with Emery Thigpen right behind him at 17:32. The Varsity Girls also finished well. The Lady Raider Volleyball Teams split up their Middle School (Monday) and JV/Varsity (Tuesday) matches with Hartfield Academy this week. The Middle School B-Team started off with a straight set victory over the Lady Hawks to finish their season at a perfect mark of 7-0. They only dropped two sets all season long. The Middle School A-Team continued their perfect mark on the season as well at 10-0 and they have been perfect in all ten of those matches, having won every match 2-0. The next action for the A-Team is the MAIS Middle School Tournament on Saturday at The Raider Dome. JV and Varsity will host Hartfield on Tuesday at 5:00pm and 6:00pm
