Congratulations to Parker Bracken, this year?s High School Heisman Winner for Jackson Academy! The Heisman High School Scholarship program recognizes scholar-athletes who perform with excellence in the classroom, the field, and their communities. Parker has played on the Lady Raiders volleyball team since seventh grade, is an honor roll student, and volunteers with her church, St. James? Episcopal Church, and Stewpot Community Services. In her application for the Heisman scholarship, Parker described the welcome she received as a young player and how she made sure to extend that same welcome to younger players when it became her turn to lead. In the past seven years, the Lady Raider volleyball team has won six of seven state championships and was recently ranked in the top 10 teams across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana by the American of Volleyball Coaches Association.
