For the second straight weekend JA Volleyball was on the road at another Tournament as they traveled to Southaven for the DeSoto Mid-South Classic. JA went 2-0 in Pool Play by defeating Bartlett and West Memphis. Then in a crossover Pool Play match with Oxford to determine seeding for the Gold Bracket they lost to unbeaten Oxford in straight sets. In the Quarterfinals the Lady Raiders beat White Station, TN in straight sets. In the Semifinals JA took down Lewisburg in straight sets but not without a thrilling and never ending first set 30-28. In the Championship match they were able to get a second chance to play Oxford and the Lady Raiders took the opportunity to heart as they handed Oxford their first loss of the season as they won their second straight tournament.

Next up for JA Volleyball is a trip to Ridgeland for JV and Varsity on Tuesday while the Middle School team is at St. Andrews. On Thursday all four teams will host MRA in conference play.
