For the third time this year, Jackson Academy had a banner day for the Class of 2022 on Monday as two more seniors signed papers that will allow them to continue their academic and athletic careers next year at Mississippi State University and MUW. These are the 8th and 9th athletic signings for this school year and these two guys are also excited about the start of baseball season which is just 55 days away.

Chandler Anderson - is the son of Henry and Chandra Anderson. Chandler began playing baseball when he was five years old. He has been a part of the JA Baseball program for the last 5 years. He was awarded the Defensive Player Award for the Navy Team in 9th Grade. Chandler is signing today to play baseball at MUW where he plans to major in Communications and Sports Management.

Dakota Jordan - the son of Carolyn Jordan. He started playing baseball at a young age in the Canton Parks and Rec League. He was a part of five different travel teams and is looking forward to his first season with the JA Raider Baseball team this spring. He played in some amazing showcase tournaments over the years including Connie Mack Baseball World Series, USA Baseball and the Perfect Game All-American Classic in San Diego this past August. He received the MVP in JH Boys Basketball and Track and received the Varsity Baseball Silver Slugger Award. This football season he also set a new record for most receiving yards in a season with 877 yards and finished second best in receiving TD with 10. He is signing today to play baseball and football at Mississippi State University where he plans to major in Sports Management.

Congratulations again to all four of you and thank you for how you represent Jackson Academy on and off the court. Good luck to all of you in your future endeavors.
