JA Falls 4-3 to MRA in Game 1

JA rolled into Madison on Tuesday coming off of their first conference series win and were looking for a quick start in their series against MRA. It was the Pats who got off to the early lead as they scored two runs in the bottom of the second with two outs to grab a 2-0 advantage. The Raiders cut the lead in half in the next inning as JT Thigpen drove in Trey Adams with a single. In the top of the fifth inning, Adams led off with a walk and was brought home on a fielder's choice by Joseph Ciaccio to tie the score at 2-2. MRA took the lead back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI double. The cardiac kids weren't done as Dakota Jordan walked to lead off the seventh and then scored all the way from first on a double down the line by Thigpen. MRA would strike out the side to keep the score tied at 3-3. The Pats won the game on a walk off single to right field and took Game 1 4-3. JA will host MRA on Thursday in JV and Varsity action.
