Dakota breaks School Record for HRs

Friday night the Raiders returned to Patriot Field in Madison to wrap up a three game series against the MRA Patriots. JA was looking to salvage a game from the series as they were going to send Will Rhodes to the mound until he came down with pink eye. So the first ever varsity start for Cade Breland became the option for the Raiders. He was fantastic on the mound as he tossed five scoreless innings while scattering three hits and three walks and never allowing a runner past second base. The Raider bats picked up where they left off from Thursday night's crazy affair as they scored a run in each of the first two innings before erupting for 5 in the fourth inning as Trey Adams drove in drove in a run that was followed by Dakota Jordan and JT Thigpen going back-to-back with homers for a 7-0 lead. In the very next inning JA added two more on Jordan's 13th homerun of the year which established a new school record for homeruns in a season. Dakota broke Matt Denny's record of 12 (2011). It was also his 4th multi-homer game and second in a row. The Raiders will head into the last week of the regular season by hosting Jackson Prep on Tuesday in JV and Varsity action as well as recognizing the seniors.
