On Friday night the Lady Raiders opened the season up with a big victory over Collierville High School out of Tennessee. The game was scoreless as they approached the halfway mark of the first quarter before Avery Pickering put the Lady Raiders up 1-0 in the 20th minute. Less than a minute later Anderson Ueltschey gave JA a 2-0 lead on her first goal of the season. Before the halftime whistle Logan Burger added a brilliant header off of a corner kick from Mylee Maurer as the Lady Raiders increased their lead to 3-0 at the intermission. The Lady Dragons notched their lone goal in the 60th minute as Kaitlyn Lewis raced down the right side and beat the JA defense for their only goal of the night. Ava Antonaros recorded six saves in goal as JA began the year 1-0. Next up is Bartlett, TN on Saturday morning at 9am.
