The Raiders and Lady Raiders took part in the 2nd Annual BA$$A Holiday Invitational at Mississippi College in Clinton. This was the first year for both JA teams to take part in this event. The Lady Raiders faced the Callaway Lady Chargers for a second straight season. They met last year in the Girls Rumble in The South at Belhaven University. The Lady Raiders had one of their hardest challenges trying to overcome 21 turnovers and that tasked proved to be too much as Callaway turned those turnovers into 20 points as Callaway defeated JA for the second straight year 50-32. Aubrey Chambers was named the MVP for JA with her performance.

In Boys action, the Raiders faced the top team in 6A Hoops in Pascagoula who had just one loss on their schedule. Without the services of Mason Williams, JA had a four point lead after the first quarter. Mason was injured at the end of practice on Friday and was unavailable. The Panthers used a 23-11 second quarter to take an eight point lead at halftime. Despite a 24 point performance by the JA MVP, Mike Williams the Raiders lost their first game of the year 70-59 to Pascagoula.

The Varsity Boys and Girls will be take part in the East Webster Christmas Classic in Maben next Thursday and Friday.
