The Raiders and Lady Raiders wrapped up action in the East Webster Christmas Classic in Maben, MS on Thursday. In Girls action the Lady Raiders dominated from start to finish as they raced out to a sixteen point halftime lead. Every Lady Raider was able to get on the floor as JA won their second straight game for to pick up their seventh win of the season 54-24 over the Pisgah Lady Dragons.

In Boys action, after a foul-plagued game on Wednesday, the Raiders and Commodores played a much cleaner game in their second game at East Webster as they took on Lafayette. The first quarter was high scoring as the two teams combined for 41 points and a lead of five for JA. The Raiders were able to increase their lead over the next two quarters to seventeen before the Commodores began their comeback mission. They trimmed it to ten twice but were unable to overcome the Raider lead and JA held on for a 62-53 victory as they closed out 2023 with a 16-1 record.

The Raiders and Lady Raiders will be in Flowood next Wednesday and Thursday as they take part in the Jackson Prep New Year’s Hoops Bash. They will take on Christian Collegiate Academy on Wednesday at 1pm and 2:20pm and MHEA at 2pm and 3:20pm on Thursday.
