The Raiders suffered a tough penalty kick loss to Prep that evened their conference record at 1-1 before they traveled to St. Andrew’s and dropped a second straight decision. Thursday at The Brickyard JA hosted Hartfield Academy as they resumed conference play by hosting the defending Division 1 State Champions. In JV action the Raiders snapped a two game skid with a 1-0 victory over the Hawks to move their record to 4-3. In varsity action the Raiders got off to a slow start as they allowed two goals within a minute of each other and found themselves down two goals at halftime as the rain started to come down. Play picked up in the second half but the Raiders never managed to break through against the Hawks and lost 2-0 dropping their overall record to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in 6A play. The Raiders had their Saturday tournament at Prep cancelled, so next up is another home conference matchup against MRA next Tuesday. JV will start things off at 5:00pm followed by Varsity at 6:30pm.
