Season Opening Win for JA
The Raiders Blank the Generals 31-0
The Raiders opened up the 2018 season on the road in Greenville, MS with a convincing 31-0 victory over the Washington School Generals. The Raiders Defense pitched their since their 27-0 win over NE Lauderdale last year.
On the offensive side, Jackson Academy had over 150 rushing yards and just over 300 yards of offense on the night. Thad Bishop led the way on the ground with 79 yards on 14 carries. Kinkead Dent was 9-for-19 in the air with 154 yards and he ran the ball 4 times for 60 yards and 2 rushing TDs.
Webb Strickland made the most of his night with 2 carries for 36 yards and 2 Touchdowns. Cruz Heath was the top receiver with 3 catches and 43 yards, while Tanner Robertson finished with 22 yards on 2 catches.
The Raiders will battle Lamar School Friday night, August 27th in their Home Opener at The Brickyard. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm and don't forget to wear Navy to show your support of the Raiders.
